Scientology, masked protesters and a New Humanist foray into podcasting

Dear reader, our blog has moved to a new address.

Do come on over (and change your bookmarks accordingly):

It's the moment you've all been waiting for – New Humanist has jumped off the pages of the magazine and website by launching a foray into the world of podcasting.

Along with regular contributor Christina Martin, I went along to an anti-Scientology protest held in London by the masked ranks of Anonymous, a movement that originated on the web earlier this year and has been picketing Scientology centres worldwide on a monthly basis ever since. We took along our shiny new audio equipment and created this 12-minute podcast, in which we meet the protesters, as well as some ex-Scientologists and prominent critics, and ask whether, behind the masks and the silly music, Anonymous are really serious in their efforts to bring down Scientology?

You can also subscribe to our podcasts by RSS, meaning you'll be notified when we post future editions.

I also wrote an article on the protest for the new issue of New Humanist. Go on, have a read.

Great that you have an mp3, but an mp3 a podcast does not make. :) You need an RSS feed with the mp3 enclosed.

Thank you for gracing a Project Chanology protest with your report. You did a good job of getting many perspectives of Anonymous, as well as the Old Guard like Tory "Magoo" Christman and Mark "Wise Beard Man" Bunker. We always appreciate the attention.
